Steelers GM on Aaron Rodgers Rumors: ‘I Don't Know Where He Is'
Free agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers is expected to visit with the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend regarding a potential contract with the team for the 2026 season, according to multiple reports.
While those reports indicate a signing is imminent, Steelers general manager Omar Khan painted a slightly different picture. On Friday morning Khan suggested he has no idea where the future Hall of Fame quarterback is right now despite the reports suggesting he’ll be in Pittsburgh this weekend.
“I don’t know where, specifically, Aaron is. I can tell you that Aaron and I, and coach and Aaron, and Aaron’s representatives have had good conversations since the season ended and since Mike [McCarthy] got hired. It’s been positive, but, yeah, I don’t know where he is at this moment,” Khan said.

All reports initially indicated Rodgers would be meeting with the team this weekend, but Khan’s new comments throw doubt into the conversation.
Rodgers, who will turn 43 during the 2026 season, acclimated seamlessly to the Steelers in 2025 after signing a one-year, $13.65 million contract before their June minicamp.
Pittsburgh begins organized team activities on May 18, which is a potential return date for the future Hall of Fame quarterback. However, as of Friday morning it appears the Rodgers rumors will have to keep Steelers faithful full for now.
