Name: Hayden Vanderhoof

Noteworthy: Vanderhoof, a right-hander who has signed with Long Beach State, pitched a no-hitter and registered a career-high 10 strikeouts as the Falcons defeated Ontario Christian 7-0 to complete an Ambassador League series sweep. Vanderhoof was extremely efficient throughout the contest, needing only 77 pitches to accomplish his gem. He issued a walk with two outs in the opening inning, and then retired 15 consecutive batters. Vanderhoof recorded a pair of strikeouts during five of the seven innings. Aquinas is 14-7 overall and 6-0 in league play heading into this week’s important series against Linfield Christian (19-4, 6-2).
