Enjoy the Shinzen Friendship Garden
The Fresno Bee feature, “52 things to do in and near Fresno” in the Jan. 3 paper presented some of the many educational, cultural and entertaining activities to engage with our community.
However, one very important location, Shinzen Friendship Garden in Woodward Park, was excluded. This beautiful five-acre garden, with its rolling hills, graceful pathways, beautiful plantings, shade-tree canopy and koi pond, only some of the garden’s stunning features, provides a place of peace, serenity and learning for the many who visit it weekly.
With the addition of the stellar Clark Bonsai Collection installed this fall, Shinzen Friendship Garden is a place not to be missed! Shinzen Friendship Garden is a stop for many tour groups coming to our Valley, and its significance as a North American Japanese garden is growing.
So, Fresno, please come and enjoy this gem and take advantage of the cultural festivities presented to our community each year.
