Three Fresno Unified trustees seek independent investigator

There has been conflicting information and incomplete information provided about the pre-consulting agreements and lease-leaseback contracts between Fresno Unified School District and Harris Construction.

The community deserves transparency in the expenditure of bond monies and the Fresno Unified Board of Trustees needs complete and accurate information in order to determine how best to move forward and what changes need to be made to board policies and district procedures and protocols.

To that end, we urge our fellow board members to support the immediate hiring of an independent investigator to determine the full and complete facts, timeline, and other relevant information and present these factual findings to the board.

We request that an agenda item to hire an independent investigator for this purpose be added to the agenda for the special board meeting in July.
