The left gives Trump ‘no respect’
I have consistently read the letters to the editor in The Bee since the election. It has been a temptation to respond to much of the inanity printed regarding the Donald Trump win. But each time I ask myself, what good will it do to attempt to have any differing point of view from leftists who have no respect for the truth. The truth is buried by the anger and venom seething from each letter.
It wouldn’t have mattered which Republican candidate won the election, because the left is so unhappy it will find something to hate in anyone. It speaks as though, had it won the Electoral College vote and Donald Trump won the popular vote, it would have obligingly conceded the election to Trump.
Overwrought fear has been exhibited by the left regarding the Trump presidency. Many others like myself fear the left has no self-respect, no respect for others, no respect for the Constitution, no respect for property and no respect for America.
