Man killed in Porterville shooting identified
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Department identified a man found dead in Porterville Friday as Manuel Christopher Acosta, 35, of Bakersfield.
Acosta’s body was found in his vehicle on Highway 190 near Road 284 around 10:45 p.m. He had one apparent gunshot wound, and his death was ruled a homicide.
The sheriff’s department said the exact cause of death will be confirmed after an autopsy later this week.
