Man found shot in Huron parking lot dies
A man is dead after he was found lying on the ground of a parking lot in Huron Sunday, the Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office said.
Around midnight, Huron police were dispatched to 36700 S. Lassen Ave. with a report of a physical disturbance, but a second call led them to the man who had obvious injuries, possibly from a gun.
The unidentified man was transported to Coalinga Regional Medical Center but was pronounced dead shortly after arriving there, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Homicide Unit is investigating the killing. So far, detectives have only learned that several people may have witnessed the crime.
