Man arrested in connection with shooting outside Visalia bar
A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that wounded four men outside a bar in Visalia on Monday just after midnight, the Visalia Police Department said.
Samuel Bermudez, 27, was arrested after an investigation revealed him to be a suspect in the shooting. Just before 6 p.m. Monday, police found Bermudez near Tulare Avenue and Lane Street in Tulare where he was arrested on suspicion of attempted homicide.
According to police, officers responded to a call of shots fired at The 5th Quarter Sports Bar and Restaurant in Visalia just before 1 a.m. Monday and found four men inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. All four were taken to area hospitals. One was reported in critical condition, while the other three did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
Police said the case appears to be gang-related.
