One dead in Tulare gang shooting

One man is dead after two were shot in a gang-related shooting and three people are under arrest, Tulare police said.

The incident marks the third homicide in Tulare this year, Sgt. Andy Garcia said.

At 11:42 p.m. Monday, police went to the 200 block of West King Avenue for a report of two gunshot victims.

They found two men had been shot, who were taken to hospitals for treatment. One died and the other is recovering, police said.

Police are not releasing the victims’ names and are investigating leads.

Mario Hernandez, 18, of Tulare, and Alexander Gonzales, 18, of Tulare were booked on suspicion of murder, and a 16-year-old boy was booked into Tulare County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of conspiracy.
