Fresno police are investigating the Tuesday afternoon shooting of a 17-year-old boy on Grant Avenue near Fourth Street in southeast Fresno.

Lt. Joe Gomez said the teen and a few others were in a garage when he was shot in the head. It is unknown if the shooting was accidental.

Gomez said one other 17-year-old present at the shooting was being questioned. Police were searching for a third teenage boy.

The victim was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center. Gomez said the wound “didn’t look good.”
