Drive-by shooting in central Fresno

Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that took place just before noon Tuesday in central Fresno.

The gun violence occurred at 11:46 a.m. in the 2400 block of East Peralta Avenue, just north of McKinley Avenue and west of Fresno Street.

Lt. Joe Gomez said video captured someone drive up in an older, light-colored American car and stop in front of an apartment complex. A man with dreadlocks and gold-capped teeth stepped out of the vehicle and fired repeatedly at the building.

No one was injured.

The shooter was described as an African American male in his late teens or early 20s, with dreadlocks and gold-capped front teeth, about 6 feet tall with a medium build. The vehicle, described as an older light-colored four-door Pontiac or Buick, was driven by another African American male with long dreadlocks.
