One dead, one wounded in southeast Fresno drive-by shooting

One man was killed Saturday night and another injured in a drive-by shooting in southeast Fresno.

The shooting happened around 10:47 p.m. near Peach and Huntington avenues when a Hispanic man wearing a dark baseball cap and shirt drove up in a white Chevy Malibu with a Fresno State sticker in the back window and fired multiple rounds into the victim’s vehicle.

The two victims were dropped off at Community Regional Medical Center minutes after the shooting, but the 25-year-old man died from his injuries. The other victim, a 23-year-old man, was treated for gunshot wounds and is in stable condition.

Police are still investigating and have not determined a motive at this time. The identity of the victim was not available Sunday.
