One man shot in central Fresno
One man was shot Tuesday night in central Fresno, and police say the shooting may be drug- or gang-related.
The shooting happened around 7 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 1300 block of 8th St. Officers found evidence of shots fired, as well as a blood trail leading east down the street. Shortly after, a gunshot victim was reported at Community Regional Medical Center.
Family members had driven the man to the hospital. He suffered a non-lethal injury.
Witnesses said that four suspects fled into another apartment in the complex, where police located and detained the men. Police also found evidence of a potential narcotic-sale operation, and a firearm believed to be used in the shooting. Police say additional suspects may have fled in a red Mazda and they are continuing to investigate.
