Police: Security cameras bust burglar stealing from central Fresno home
A man was arrested on suspicion of burglary after the homeowner’s alarm system captured photos of the suspect inside the locked garage on Wednesday morning in central Fresno, police said.
After getting a description of the intruder from the homeowner, officers soon found the suspect identified as Juan Carlos Marquez, 36, riding a bicycle in the area near Millbrook and Dakota avenues, said Fresno police.
The homeowner’s husband identified the bicycle as his, stating that it was originally in the garage where the alarm was triggered, said police.
Officers found a backpack containing several burglary tools next to the victim’s residence, said police.
Marquez admitted to taking the bicycle and was booked into the Fresno County Jail on suspicion of burglary, receiving stolen property and possession of burglary tools.
