Man fatally shot near Sanger bar
A man was shot at a Sanger bar early Sunday and later died from his injuries, police reported.
Officers were called at 1:34 a.m. to a report of a fight and shots fired near the North Pole Bar, which is located in the 1000 block of Eighth Street. A man was found who had been shot. He was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, but later died from his injuries.
A second man was located at a home in Sanger with a gunshot injury that was not life-threatening. He told officers he had been in a fight at the bar. He was also transported to CRMC.
No arrests have been made, but investigators have what they call “strong” leads. According to police, the incident is not gang related.
