Bicyclist arrested in Fresno for possession of weapons and drugs, police said
One man was arrested Saturday in central Fresno after police said he was found with a loaded .357 revolver, cocaine and marijuana.
Police said they stopped Larry Joyner, 19, Fresno, for riding his bicycle against the flow of traffic near Fresno Street and Thomas Avenue.
After being stopped, Joyner provided a false birth date to police, but after his true identity was later uncovered police learned there was an active felony warrant for his arrest.
Police said they searched Joyner’s backpack and found the gun with the drugs.
Joyner was booked into the Fresno County Jail on a variety of weapons possession and drug possession charges, police said.
Joyner also claims to be a west Fresno gang member, police said.
Police said Joyner is a prior convicted felon prohibited from possessing and owning a gun.
