One woman, three boys jailed in Dinuba-area homicide

One woman and three boys are in custody after a shooting that killed a man near Dinuba, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department said.

Ashley Rodriguez, 24, two boys ages 14 and a 17-year-old were arrested Saturday. Violent Crimes detectives say the foursome was involved in the fatal shooting of Haro Sanchez, 29, of Kings County, who died Saturday.

Sheriff’s deputies found Sanchez lying on the sidewalk at 8:30 p.m. Friday in front of the Sultana Food Mart near Avenue 416 and Road 104 in Sultana. Sanchez had a gunshot wound in his chest and was airlifted to an area hospital where he died.

Sanchez had been involved in a verbal argument with three people when one of them pulled out a handgun and fired one round, authorities said. The suspects then ran to a waiting vehicle and fled.

The motive for the shooting is unknown. The sheriff’s department said all the suspects are in custody. No other details were immediately available.

The Sheriff’s Department is asking anyone with information to call its office at (559) 733-6218, (800) 808-4288 or give anonymous information at (559) 725-4194.
