Man shot to death west of Firebaugh
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday night that detectives had a person of interest detained in the shooting death of a man west of Firebaugh.
Deputies found the dead man about 1:35 a.m. near Nees and Jerrold avenues. A sheriff’s spokesman said the man appears to be 40-45 years old, but little else was shared pending an announcement from the coroner’s office.
The sheriff’s office said it’s the fourth homicide of the year in the county. No other details were immediately available.
