Welcome to your new Clovis newspaper
A lot of exciting changes are coming to The Clovis Independent.
For one, the newspaper has undergone a redesign. The Aug. 5 edition was the first to feature the new, eye-catching layout. We hope you like it!
Secondly, the publication has a new editor. (Hi!)
I’ve heard that Clovis isn’t just a city, it’s a way of life. I hope to bring you interesting stories about your way of life — the businesses, events and people who make Clovis, well, Clovis.
Farin Montañez
Editor of The Clovis IndependentI’m a 27-year-old mother of two and a Fresno State graduate who has worked as a journalist for about a decade. Although I reside in Fresno, I can often be found dancing at the Friday night Old Town Clovis Farmers Market or running along the city’s many trails and in local races.
I’ve heard that Clovis isn’t just a city, it’s a way of life. I hope to bring you interesting stories about your way of life — the businesses, events and people who make Clovis, well, Clovis.
I hope to bring you news and exciting features about everything from the city’s oldest businesses to its newest residents. A few weekly and monthly features are in the works and will debut in the months to come.
