Man shot, killed by CHP after struggle ID'd
A man shot and killed in a struggle with a California Highway Patrol officer Thursday has been identified.
Enrique Perez, 21, of Fresno died in the shooting, the Fresno County Coroner's Office said Friday.
Perez allegedly stole a dump truck Thursday morning from Fresno Truck Center and drove it to a citrus grove at Clovis and Malaga avenues, southeast of Malaga.
He was shot during a struggle with the unidentified CHP officer in the grove. The 33-year-old officer sustained moderate injuries.
