A search is on for a 77-year-old man who left his home near Pine Flat Lake for a walk Sunday evening and hasn’t been seen since.
Fresno County sheriff’s spokesman Tony Botti said deputies are asking for the public’s help in locating Donald Thomas, who is missing scheduled medication for various conditions. He did not take his wallet, cellphone or eyeglasses.
Botti said it’s believed Thomas left his home near Trimmer Springs and Sunnyslope roads about 5 p.m. Sunday.
The sheriff’s search and rescue team is looking for Thomas; also, the sheriff’s helicopter crew and three search dogs have made several sweeps of the area. Botti said a total of three dozen deputies have been involved in the search.

Thomas is white, 5 feet 5 inches tall with a thin build and brown eyes. He has brownish-gray hair and is partially bald. He was last seen wearing a white shirt that reads “Pine Flat Lake Marina,” blue and white swim trunks and brown shoes.
Botti said it’s possible that motorists may have seen Thomas walking in the area or even stopped to talk with him, but did not realize he was a missing person. If you recall seeing someone matching Thomas’ description, contact the Sheriff’s Office at 559-600-3111.
