Bicyclist killed in semi-truck collision in Tulare

One man was killed in Tulare early Wednesday morning when his bicycle collided into a semi-truck near the intersection of Blackstone Street and Bardsley Avenue.

The collision happened around 12:15 a.m. Louie Godoy was driving his 2012 International Freightliner truck through the intersection when bicyclist Roy Justus, 44, of Tulare, collided with the truck.

Justus was found dead on scene when officers arrived, the Tulare Police Department said, and the collision is under investigation.

This is the first fatal traffic accident for 2016, the Tulare Police Department said.
