Body found in northwest Fresno drainage basin, police say

The body of a 27-year-old man was discovered in a pond drainage area Tuesday in northwest Fresno, police said.

The Fresno County Sheriff Office’s dive team removed the body around 3 p.m. Tuesday by Cornelia and Roberts avenues west of Figarden Drive.

Police are investigating the death as suspicious.
