CHP investigates fatal crash in southeast Fresno
The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal crash Friday afternoon in southeast Fresno.
Cal Fire reported that the crash, which happened near the intersection of South Willow and East North avenues before 4:30 p.m., was a head-on collision. Emergency Medical Services said the victim or victims were possible pinned in the car, but it was unclear how many were killed.
The crash was between a gray minivan and a red Chevy Cavalier. The Fresno County coroner was called out to the scene and arrived just before 5:30 p.m.
CHP said Willow will be closed until at least around 7:15 p.m.
