Feed the butterflies at Big Fresno Fair

One of the many attractions at the Big Fresno Fair is the Skyriver Butterflies exhibit in the Greenhouse.

Skyriver’s Feed the Butterflies offers fairgoers the chance to get up close with hundreds of Monarch and Painted Lady butterflies and feed them sugar water on Q-tips.

Big Fresno Fair

  • Dates: Oct. 7-18
  • Hours: Gates open 11 a.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. weekends and 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12; gates close 11 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and midnight Friday and Saturday.
  • Main Carnival hours: 3 p.m. to close weekdays, 10 a.m. to close weekends
  • Admission: $10 adults, $7 children 6-12, seniors 62 and up and military with valid ID; free for children 5 and younger. Many discounts available in community.
