4 killed, 2 injured in head-on crash near Corcoran
Four people are dead after a Dodge Neon crashed into a Cadillac northwest of Corcoran late Thursday, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened on two-lane 10th Avenue south of Nevada Avenue just before midnight. The area is mostly farmland.
According to the CHP, the Neon was headed north on 10th Avenue when it veered onto the dirt shoulder. The driver pulled his car back onto the road and crossed into the southbound lane where his car crashed head-on with the Cadillac.
Both occupants of the Neon, Christopher Rodriguez, 26, and Tony Hernandez, 51, of Hanford, were killed. All four people in the Cadillac were identified as being from Corcoran. Consuelo Reynozo, 69, and Saul Ramirez, 23, were killed. The driver, Brian Ramirez, 18, suffered moderate injuries, and a 44-year-old female passenger suffered major injuries, the CHP said.
CHP said it’s unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
