Earlimart bicycle rider who died in collision identified
A man who died south of Pixley after being hit by a car was identified as Eluogio Mendoza, 67, of Earlimart, the Tulare County Coroner’s Office said.
About 8:20 a.m. May 15, he was riding his bicycle north on Road 128 south of Avenue 84.
Norma V. Valladares, 40, of Earlimart, was driving north on the same road and as she began to pass the bicyclist, he turned his bicycle to the left and collided into the right side of the 2008 Infinity G35, the CHP said.
He was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene.
