Fire unit puts out grass blaze quickly and saves kitten as well
Fresno County Fire came to the rescue of a small kitten Monday afternoon, though it may have been left with a burn.
The two-acre grass fire near Jensen and Prospect avenues started about 3:30 p.m. and was contained in 15 minutes, Fresno County Fire Capt. Jeremiah Witter said.
When firefighters got to the scene, they pulled the kitten from the fire.
Witter said he does not fully know the kitten’s condition. However, animal control was at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
