Man dies in Clovis after his car hits a tree and catches fire
One man is dead after his car slammed into a tree and caught fire in Clovis on Friday night.
Clovis police Capt. Tom Roberts said the man was driving on Fowler Avenue just north of Bullard Avenue when he lost control and slammed into a tree in the center median just before midnight. The car caught fire and the man did not make it out of the car.
The man has not been identified and it is not known if alcohol or drugs were involved, Roberts said.
