Word on the Street: Groppetti Automotive acquires Santa Cruz Nissan dealership

Visalia-based Groppetti Automotive has acquired its first dealership outside of the central San Joaquin Valley.

The company announced Tuesday that it acquired ownership of Santa Cruz Nissan in Santa Cruz on April 19 from the Courtright family. The dealership was closed at that time and will be reopened under the new ownership on June 15, the company said. The purchase price was not disclosed.

The Groppetti Automotive Family owns six dealerships in Tulare and Kings counties.

“I’m excited to bring Groppetti Automotive in the South Bay,” Don Groppetti, owner of Groppetti Automotive, said in a news release. “We are committed to delivering the highest level of service for our future customers at Santa Cruz Nissan.”

Groppetti Automotive will host a job fair on May 24 and 25 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Best Western Plus at 500 Ocean Ave. in Santa Cruz. The company is looking to hire a finance manager, sales people, service manager, service advisors, and staff for parts delivery, detail, and the office.
