Free food when new Habit Burger opens in Fresno’s Manchester Center
The Habit Burger Grill at Manchester Center is giving away free food at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 6 as it prepares to open its restaurant at Manchester Center.
The burger restaurant is in the newly constructed building on the west side of the mall near Blackstone Avenue, just north of Shields Avenue.
The Chipotle in the same at the building opened last week. Rita’s, which will sell Italian ice and frozen custard, is also in the works.
The Habit officially opens 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The restaurant has been holding several events with free food – likely practice for its employees – in the days leading up to its opening. The next freebies start at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. The first 200 people who visit the new location will get a free “chargrilled meal from pre-selected menus.”
The restaurants are part of several big changes happening at Manchester, including a renovation and the creation of an “artisan food community” in the former Gottschalks space. Essentially a fancy food court, it has about seven local restaurants signed on, including Rocket Dog Brats & Brew. That area is still under construction and many months away from opening.
This is the sixth Habit Burger Grill between Hanford and Clovis. The Manchester location has a drive-thru. It seats 48 people inside and an additional 40 on the patio.
