DSW shoe store to open in Visalia

Visalia’s first DSW shoe store will open Thursday.

DSW, short for Designer Shoe Warehouse, carries men’s and women’s shoes. The Visalia store is at 3725 S. Mooney Blvd. at the Gateway Plaza Shopping Center.

At 10,300 square feet, the store is a smaller-than-average DSW and smaller than the Fresno location in the Villaggio shopping center.

But it carries about 15,000 pairs of shoes – ranging from comfort brands to designer heels – along with sneakers, running shoes, boots, sandals and boat shoes. It also carries handbags, jewelry, socks and scarves.

Shoppers can also order shoes from the DSW website and have them shipped to the store.
