Puppies are totally irresistible. It's almost impossible to find a person who doesn't get instantly charmed by those fluffy fur babies. Their round bellies, huge paws too big for their bodies, and floofy coats make everyone stop and stare.

Even those who work with animals every single day can't turn down an opportunity to snuggle with a pup. The staff at The Pet Hospitals in Memphis literally lined up for a chance to snuggle with Lucy the Pug puppy when she stopped by the office.

Say what you will about pugs, but when we get a fresh new baby puglet like sweet Lucy here, it's guaranteed there's going to be a line forming of people who can't wait to say hello! #pugpuppy#blackpug#colliervilletn#memphisvet

In the TikTok from @thepethospitals, several staff members clambered to cuddle the tiny canine.

"Get in line for the newest Pug puppy in town!" the on-screen text declared.

A crowd formed around the precious pup, with everyone wanting their turn to hold Lucy.

"Is there a line?" someone asked, more than willing to wait.

Someone cut ahead "just to get a pet in" before Lucy was passed to another adoring fan.

"Why are you so cute?" the staff member asked Lucy as she smiled at the friendly fur baby. "She's perfect."

The young woman stalled a little, allowing Lucy to nibble on her fingers before reluctantly handing the pup over for her exam.

"Say what you will about Pugs, but when we get a fresh new baby Puglet like sweet Lucy here, it's guaranteed there's going to be a line forming of people who can't wait to say hello!" the caption shared.

Facts About Pugs

There's a lot of personality packed in a little Pug. They're known for their playful, quirky nature and make wonderful family pets. There are some interesting facts about these canine cuties, such as:

  • The Pug breed can be traced back to China in 400 B.C. and are considered the oldest dog breed in the world.
  • Sleeping is one of their favorite hobbies, and Pugs often sporadically snooze for up to 14 hours a day.
  • Pugs are brachycephalic, giving them their trademark pushed-in face appearance that causes them to snort, grunt and snore.
  • Though they're small and have short legs, Pugs are fast runners and can clock in three to five miles per hour.
  • A group of Pugs is known as a "grumble."

And like Lucy, these sweet dogs can certainly attract a crowd.
