Foodie Forecast: Seven-course meal, mid-1960s dinner, new summer menu

Cloak & Petal in Little Italy is serving a special Japanese and Mexican-inspired seven-course dinner for one night only. The restaurant’s Tokyo Gangster dinner experience features kakuni pork belly chicharron finished with mole and elote riblets, carnitas empanadas, gochugaru carne asada, chicken bulgogi flautas, pozole kimchi, sunomono and crispy rice with guajillo and lime crema. 7 p.m. Tuesday. 1953 India St., San Diego. $75. 619-501-5505, cloakandpetal.com
Callie’s fifth anniversary: The East Village Mediterranean restaurant Callie is celebrating its fifth birthday with a special dinner by James Beard award-winning chef Gavin Kaysen and Callie chef-owner Travis Swikard. The dinner will be a surprise five-course, family-style meal with optional wine pairings. Mister A’s turns back time:For two nights, Mister A's is turning back the clock to the mid-1960s for a special prix-fixe meal. The night starts at the bar with complimentary Prosecco and appetizers. Then customers are taken to the dinner area for a three-course dinner, which includes choices of lobster bisque, crab cakes, escargot, beef Wellington, steak, eggplant, cheesecake and cherries jubilee. Daffodil Café menu specials:In the La Jolla Commons commercial and retail area, customers can try new seasonal menu items at Daffodil Café. Some of the new items include a sweet and spicy chicken bánh mì bowl, chicken tortilla salad and a hot burrata veggie sandwich. Culinary Dropout Del Mar summer menu: A new summer menu has been released at Culinary Dropout Del Mar. Drink options include the Endless Summer Margarita with blanco tequila, watermelon, lime and salt and the Summer Tan Sangria, which contains watermelon-pineapple rum, brandy, strawberry, kiwi, lemon and white wine. Also, a spicy tuna crispy rice and a feta and tahini dip are now on the appetizer menu.
