If you need a break but can't find the time or money for your own spa day, consider living vicariously through this adorable mini dachshund.

Indy the mini dachshund goes on lots of adventures, and her mom posts about them on her YouTube channel. Today, however, life isn't so much an adventure as a moment of Zen.

"POV: your Dachshund loves spa days," the video caption reads as we watch Indy dunk her whole head under the bathtub faucet.

Mom is busy preparing a lovely bath for Indy, and Indy is busy letting go of stress and leaning into the relaxation of the warm water and incoming suds.

The video starts strong with a yawn count. We're only a couple of seconds into the clip, and the yarns have begun.

Indy completely loafs under the gentle waterfall of the faucet, and Mom assists with a cup, pouring warm water all over the beautiful pup. The second yawn soon emerges!

Once an inch or two of water has pooled at the base of the tub, the faucet is turned off, and the shampoo-scrubbed glove comes out. Mom pours plenty of dog shampoo onto the exfoliating gloves, then gives Indy a nice scrub-down. We imagine this feels very nice for Indy.

Indy gives herself a rinse under the faucet and gets even more glove massages before mom comes back with a special hair brush that deposits even more soapy suds. Indy closes her eyes and drifts away to a tropical paradise in her mind-at least, that's how we imagine it.

After a final rinse, Indy is wrapped in a towel and given a loving hair brush and blowout. Next are a teeth-brushing and a snout-moisturizing session, plus paw brushes and a dental-hygiene chew.

Thus, the spa day is complete, and Indy is one clean wienie!

How Often Should Dachshunds Be Bathed?

It may sound strange to us humans, as we aim to bathe just about every day, but dachshunds shouldn't get full-on spa days more than once every three to four months.

Whether you have a smooth-haired, long-haired, or wire-haired wienie at home, dachshunds of all kinds produce an important oil in their coat that naturally protects and hydrates their skin. Bathing with shampoos and excess water too often can strip the hair of this important oil, leading to dry skin and even sores or infections.

Of course, that doesn't mean you shouldn't groom your dachshund. Gentle brushing and proper nutrition will keep your dog looking well-kept and healthy with a shining coat. Then, every few months, give your dog a spa day like Indy's!
