Pet of the week: 2-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier Mix who is a "cuddle bug"

Animal:Miss Ducky, 2-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier Mix, #978919.

Where: San Diego Humane Society, Escondido Campus, 3500 Burnet Drive.

Hours: Interested adopters can visit the campuses to adopt from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. All animals available for adoption can be seen at sdhumane.org/adopt/available-pets.

Adoption fee: $165; includes microchip with lifetime registration, vet exam.

Profile:Miss Ducky might be shy at first, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into “the biggest cuddle bug.” She is food-motivated and has mastered “sit” and “down” and is crate trained. She’d do best with slow introductions to any other dogs in the home, so she can build confidence.
