Ruth the Cow Has Adorable Reaction to Seeing Her Newborn Human Brother

Ruth wasn't trying to charm all of social media. She just wanted to see her new human baby brother, but the sweet cow managed to win hearts without even trying, an emotional example of a lovely cow and baby bond.

Peering over the barn door where her baby human was nestled in his car seat waiting for mom to lift him out, Ruth took matters into her own hooves. She had waited patiently outside the barn, watching for the moment she could see the little baby. When mom didn't move fast enough for Ruth's liking, the cow came looking for her favorite tiny human. Animal lovers often celebrate the bond between dogs and humans, but Ruth is putting everyone on notice: cows have feelings too.

At first glance, @terryfarm8's heartwarming animal video seems straightforward. Captioned, "I wasn't getting him out of his car seat fast enough to see him," the video shows an infant boy relaxing in his car seat on the family's farm. The camera pans to a half barn door, revealing Ruth peeking over to catch a glimpse of the baby. Mom speaks gently to both Ruth and her child, while the baby squeals at the sound of Ruth's name.

Ruth is making a strong case for cows as one of the most lovable and unexpected family companions.

More than 4K people liked the video, and the comment section is filled with viewers touched by the sweet interaction. One wrote, "she's saying "where's my baby?!" Another added, "He's just as excited to see her as she is him. How cute!" The reaction says it all.

Ruth appears to be highly emotionally intelligent, but her behavior isn't as unusual as it might seem. Cows are capable of forming deep emotional bonds with humans, especially when they are raised with care and kindness.

These intelligent, social animals can recognize faces and remember people long term. They also show affection in gentle ways, including licking, nuzzling, and staying close to those they trust.

While mom wisely keeps some distance between Ruth and the newborn, it's clear the cow is completely smitten. The feeling seems mutual, and viewers can't get enough of the heartwarming connection and this unexpected animal friendship.

Thanks for the feel good animal story, Ruth. You made our day.
