This restaurant is all over the Valley – and finally in Fresno
Fresno finally has a Figaro’s Mexican Southwestern Grill.
This is the fifth location for the family-owned restaurant that just keeps growing after starting in Tulare in 2004. Since then it has opened locations in Hanford and Visalia, and in Clovis, where it opened at Fowler and Ashlan avenues near Starbucks earlier this year.
Now there is a Figaro’s in Fresno at Park Crossing, the new development at Friant Road and Fresno Street that also has a Sportsman’s Warehouse. And the family is considering bringing in additional locations and owners by selling franchises of the restaurants.
The name Figaro’s is a tweak on the family name Figueroa.
Figaro’s is a little different than your typical Mexican restaurant, with its southwestern peachy-orange walls and turquoise accents.
We’re doing pretty good. My goal is to get it franchised.
Rafael Figueroa
Figaro’s“It’s like Mexican food, but with a twist,” says owner Rafael Figueroa. “Nothing’s fried except the chips.”
The restaurant has all kinds of burritos and tacos on the menu, including the popular shrimp and fish tacos. Six salads are available.
Figaro’s also has a salsa bar with five types of salsa on ice, along with lemon and lime slices. The salsas range from the mild, tomato-laden pico de gallo to the hot habanero salsa.
The Fresno Figaro’s is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays.
