Journey cancels Fresno date on its ‘San Francisco Fest’ tour
Journey will not be playing that Fresno date on its San Francisco Fest tour after all.
In November, the band announced it would play Aug. 28 at the Save Mart Center on its tour with fellow Bay Area rockers The Doobie Brothers.
Last week, the arena posted this note on its website: “Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts the Journey and Doobie Brothers show scheduled for August 28 at Save Mart Center has been canceled. Refunds are available at the point of purchase.”
While no further information is immediately available, it should be noted that according to the band’s website, Journey is now scheduled to play a one-night performance at the Forum in Inglewood with guitar icon Carlos Santana.
The show comes after a recent reunion of the classic Santana III lineup, which last played in 1973 and includes guitarist Neal Schon. Those following along know that Schon also plays with Journey. He will be performing with both bands at the Forum show. The two bands also announced a one-night only performance Sept. 4 at AT&T Park in San Francisco, with the Doobie Brothers, Steve Miller Band and other special guests.
