Pop-rock band R5 announces Jan. 27 concert at Saroyan Theatre

The pop-rock-family-band R5, which you may have seen last year at The Big Fresno Fair, will be in Fresno in January on the winter leg of its “Sometime Last Night” concert tour.

The Hollywood Records band announced more than 20 additional tour dates, including a stop Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Saroyan Theatre. Tickets for the show are $35-$47.50 and go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, June 19. They are availale online or by calling (800) 745-3000. Pre-sale tickets are available to R5 fan club members from at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, to 10 p.m. Thursday, June 18.

R5 is brothers Riker Lynch, Rocky Lynch, Ross Lynch and sister Rydel Lynch, plus friend Ellington Ratliff. The band signed to Hollywood Records in 2010 and released its debut “Louder” in 2013. It debuted at No. 1 on iTunes in 10 countries. The follow up, “Sometime Last Night,” is set for release July 10. Pre-orders are available now.

Outside the band, Riker was the runner-up on Season 20 of ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars,” and Ross stars on the Disney Channel as Austin Moon in “Austin & Ally.” He recently won a third consecutive Kids Choice Award for Favorite TV Actor for his role on the show (also, a Teen Choice Award nomination. His second). This summer he stars in “Teen Beach 2,” the sequel to 2013’s “Teen Beach Movie.”
