Roots and Boots tour is a country all-star show

The Roots and Boots tour is a country music throwback. It harkens to the variety show days, when country stars like Conway Twitty and George Jones shared a camaraderie — and a stage.

The tour, which stops on Thursday, Feb. 26, at the Tachi Palace, started as a collaboration between Sammy Kershaw, Aaron Tippin and Joe Diffie. This year’s lineup includes Kershaw and Tippin, along with Darryl Worley and James Otto, the relative newcomer to the group. The group performs together on stage telling stories and playing acoustic versions of their hit songs.
