Rolling Stones Fans Will Love Mick Jagger's Latest Tour Comments

Are The Rolling Stones touring this year? Whether or not it’s this year, vocalist Mick Jagger is pointing to a “yes” for that answer on at least touring down the road.

During an interview on BBC Radio 2’s “Tracks of My Years” along with his bandmate Ronnie Wood, Jagger said that he’s pumped to tour again and entertain audiences around the world.

“I’d love to go on tour, I can’t wait,” he said. “I don’t think it’s going to be this year. But hopefully it’s going to be as soon as possible.”

The Rolling Stones’ last tour took place in 2024, and that trek was a headlining North American run behind their 2023 release, “Hackney Diamonds.”

Beatles legend Paul McCartney appears on the new album, which he also did on “Hackney Diamonds,” and during the chat, Jagger said working with the former Beatle “was great.”

“We’re in Los Angeles and he did two days and he played on one song, was a punk song, and then this one’s more like a, more like a funk bass,” Jagger said. “So that was very exciting and … he was very quick, very quick learner.”

The Rolling Stones have a new album on the way, “Foreign Tongues,” which is scheduled to arrive July 10. The set marks a milestone for the band, because it’s their 25th studio album. New albums generally come close to tour announcements, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that Jagger says he’d love to play live soon, but it’s still nice to hear.
