• Grizzlies on Tuesday: Fresno right-hander Jake Buchanan (1-0, 3.27 ERA) will get a second start against Salt Lake, only on the road this time at 5:35 p.m., after limiting the Bees to four hits and one earned run in seven innings in a Pacific Coast League game won 9-8 by the Grizzlies in 11 innings last week Wednesday at Chukchansi Park. Salt Lake had lost nine stright, including an 0-4 trip to Fresno, before winning 9-5 at home against Sacramento Monday night. The Bees, now 2-10 in the Pacific South Division, didn’t announce a starter to oppose Buchanan.
• Monday rewind: Preston Tucker drove in four runs, including two with a single in a three-run first inning, as the Grizzlies bolted to a 3-0 lead and coasted to a 8-4 win at Las Vegas. Tucker also hit a home run, as did Jon Singleton.
• Stat of the day: Grizzlies left-hander Tommy Shirley, a week after giving up nine hits in five innings against Salt Lake, yielded but two hits in 52/3 innings against Vegas.
