, in 51s RH Noah Syndergaard in the second of a four-game series at Las Vegas, set to start at 7:05 p.m. The 6-foot-6 New York Mets farmhand labored in his only start of the season so far, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits and a walk over four innings while receiving a no-decision in the 51s’ 8-5 win over Sacramento on April 13.
Behind home runs from Jon Singleton, Andrew Aplin and Max Stassi, the Grizzlies held on to defeat Las Vegas 11-10. Singleton hit a two-run shot in Fresno’s five-run second inning, then Aplin and Stassi went back-to-back in the seventh as the Grizzlies erased a 9-8 deficit. The bottom third of Fresno’s lineup — Aplin, Stassi and Ronald Torresyes — combined to knock in six runs. It wasn’t a good night, however, for Grizzlies pitchers as Alex White, Gonzalo Sanudo, Jordan Jankowski and Josh Fields allowed a combined 18 hits, two for homers, through eight innings. James Hoyt pitched a perfect ninth for the save.
