Following an all-night bus ride, Fresno begins a four-game series against the Las Vegas 51s at Cashman Field with RH Alex White (0-1, 10.80 ERA) scheduled to face RH Tyler Pill (0-0, 6.75). First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. White lasted just 3 1/3 innings in his previous start against the 51s, allowing six hits and four earned runs. Pill is the younger brother of former Grizzly Brett Pill. The teams split four games in Fresno to open the season.

Nolan Fontana, Alex Presley and Domingo Santana had two hits apiece as the Grizzlies rode a four-run first to a 5-4 victory over the Salt Lake Bees to complete a four-game sweep. Closer James Hoyt, after allowing five runs the night before, protected a ninth-inning lead for his second save.

Matt Duffy’s five-hit game Wednesday was the first of his pro career and the first for a Grizzlies player since Juan Ciriaco did it June 6 of last season.
