SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) -- Irving Lopez hit a walk-off two-run homer with one out in the 10th inning, as the Springfield Cardinals beat the Northwest Arkansas Naturals 8-6 on Sunday. The Cardinals swept the four-game series with the win.
The Naturals tied the game 6-6 in the top of the eighth when Kort Peterson hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Emmanuel Rivera as part of a three-run inning.
Reliever Merandy Gonzalez (1-1) picked up the win after he struck out four and walked one while allowing one hit over 2 2/3 scoreless innings. Grant Gavin (2-1) allowed two runs and got one out in the Texas League game.
Conner Capel homered and doubled, driving home three runs in the win. Lopez homered and singled, scoring a couple of runs while also driving home two.
Gabriel Cancel homered and singled, scoring two runs for the Naturals.
