Sunbirds’ Tittle earns academic honors
Fresno Pacific senior shortstop Michael Tittle was named to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District team, making him a candidate for the Academic All-American team.
Tittle has started every game at shortstop for the Sunbirds for the past two seasons, totaling more than 100 games, as the team heads to the NCCAA World Series next week to defend its 2014 title. He graduated last weekend with a degree in sociology and 3.52 GPA.
“Michael Tittle is one of the greatest competitors that you will ever find and is very deserving of this honor,” Sunbirds coach Oscar Hirschkorn said. “Michael will have no regrets at the end of his college career because he brought it every day.”
