The central San Joaquin Valley’s top sprint car teams had a sense of déjâ vu Saturday night.
That’s because they repeated their 1-2-3 podium finish from the week before on the King of the West circuit.
Saturday, it was at Petaluma Speedway, where Bud Kaeding (in the Oakhurst-based Williams Motorsports car) scored his second straight win, followed across the line by Carson Macedo of Lemoore in the Easton-based Tarlton & Son car and Dominic Scelzi of Fresno in the Gary Scelzi Motorsports car.
Hanford’s DJ Netto recovered from a lap-7 accident to finish sixth in the 30-lap main event, and Hanford’s Mitchell Faccinto finished 12th for the best collective finish by Valley cars this season.
The King of the West series rolls into Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway on Saturday for the Chris & Brian Faria Memorial. The 30-lap feature has a $3,000-to-win purse.
