Grizzlies Report for April 19

Grizzlies today:

Right-hander Asher Wojciechowski was scheduled to start Monday and make his Fresno Grizzlies debut. But the major league rookie instead will start for the parent-club Houston Astros after a callup this weekend with pitcher Brad Peacock landing on the disabled list. The Grizzlies, meanwhile, have shuffled their rotation, sending lefty Tommy Shirley (1-0, 6.00 ERA) to the mound for Monday’s series finale against the Las Vegas 51s. The first pitch is 7:05 p.m. Las Vegas will start RH Matt Bowman (0-2, 9.90), who in his first start of the season surrendered seven runs to the Grizzlies.

Sunday rewind:

Grizzlies pitcher Brady Rodgers had another rough outing, allowing seven runs off eight hits and two walks in a 10-5 loss at Las Vegas. Rodgers has a 13.50 ERA after two starts over 9 1/3 innings.

Stat of the day:

The Grizzlies hit 3 for 13 with runners in scoring position.
