Rawhide Glaesmann hits for cycle

Todd Glaesmann became the first Visalia player to hit for the cycle since in nearly eight years during the Rawhide's 9-2 California League victory over San Jose on Tuesday.

Glaesmann, the Rawhide's lead-off hitter, opened the bottom of the first with a double. He dropped a bunt single in the second, hooked a solo home run inside the left field foul pole in the fourth and hit a triple into the right-center gap in the sixth. He finished with an RBI groundout in the eighth.

The last Visalia player to hit for the cycle was Derek Bruce on July 26, 2007, also at San Jose's Municipal Stadium against the Giants.
